This 3 piece professional spoon carving set is made by Narex Bystrice a highly respected edge tool manufacturer from the Czech Republic. All edge tools are made from the same high-quality Manganese steel as their other award-winning edge tools. The set contains a double-edge hook knife (822103) that can be used right or left handed, a 3/4" spoon carving gouge (822820), a dual bevel straight detail carving knife (822510) and a Lime wood spoon blank. The hook knife and spoon carving gouge are used to scoop out the convex surface from spoons or bowls. The hook knife blade is 11/16" wide, a full 1/8" thick, 2-1/2" long with a 1" radius. Overall length of hook knife is 9". These blade characteristics facilitate smooth and chatter-free cuts. The straight dual-bevel carving knife has a 1-5/8” long blade and an overall length of 7-1/8". The spoon carving gouge is 3/4" wide and 9" long. All tools come with European beech handles. Set comes with complete instructions.
